This 6-hour Ofqual regulated course is a must for teaching the necessary first aid requirements to those working in childcare. On completion, candidates will be able to:
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider
- Safely manage an incident
- Deal with an unresponsive breathing infant or child (top-to-toe survey and recovery position)
- Deal with a non-breathing infant or child (CPR and chain of survival)
- Safely use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
- Provide first aid to an infant or child who is suffering from;
- choking, external bleeding, burns, shock, seizures, minor injuries
