I’m Rachael and I founded First Class First Aid Ltd to empower learners with the confidence and skill to safely manage emergency situations. With a focus on supportive, hands-on learning for individuals and organisations, our comprehensive courses are designed to exceed industry standards, ensuring you receive the finest training available.

 

Accredited Training

As a regulated training provider, we deliver our qualifications under the First Aid Awards (FAA) awarding body. The FAA are regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation and our qualifications sit on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). We maintain our qualifications to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, ensuring we meet the requirements set out by the HSE and Ofsted.

FIRST AID TRAINING FOR THE WORKPLACE

Workplace first aid course in Norwich

I offer a range of Ofqual regulated first aid training courses to students within a variety of industries equipping them with the knowledge and skills required to provide great first aid. Candidates will be assessed and awarded an FAA Level 2/3 qualification valid for three years, and meeting the requirements set out by the HSE, Ofsted and the EYFS framework. The first aid training is in-house; at your place of work. I hold an Advanced DBS certificate enabling me to work in school and nursery settings. With a focus on attention, patience, practical training, and positive encouragement, I make learning first aid fun, interesting and rewarding through a variety of engaging activities. FIRST AID CLASSES FOR PARENTS AND CARERS

As a parent myself I understand the value and reassurance that comes with a good knowledge of first aid. I offer relaxed, informal first aid classes in Norwich that are designed for parents, grandparents and carers in the comfort of their own home. My patient, attentive and practical approach ensures those with babies and children in their care, will be fully competent in both basic and life saving first aid.

FIRST AID CLASSES FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN

Delivered in schools across Norwich and Norfolk

In 2020 First Aid made a welcome addition to the National Curriculum. I'm proud to offer fun, interactive first aid classes that teach children first aid and meet the National Curriculum requirements. For younger children in Key Stage 1, we cover getting help in an emergency, what to do if something happens to our grown-up, the recovery position, bleeding and head bumps. For children in Key stage 2, we look at getting help in an emergency, the recovery position, CPR, choking, head bumps, breaks, burns and bleeding. All age groups receive a sticker and a certificate! FIRST AID COURSES & PRICING

All first aid training is provided across Norwich & Norfolk

Basic Life Support - FAA Level 2 Award -  £50.00 per person - Minimum of four candidates

This 3 hour Ofqual regulated course covers the basic life saving techniques outlined by the the Resucitaion Council UK, as well as safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator. On completion candidates will be able to:

  • Safely manage an incident

  • Deal with an unresponsive breathing casualty (top to toe survey and recovery position)

  • Deal with a non breathing casualty (CPR and chain of survival)

  • Safely use an AED (Automated External Defibrillator)

Emergency First Aid at work - FAA Level 3 Award - £70.00 per person

This 6 hour Ofqual regulated course covers the necessary first aid requirements for a variety of workplaces. On completion candidates will be able to:

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider

  • Safely manage an incident

  • Deal with an unresponsive breathing casualty (top to toe survey and recovery position)

  • Deal with a non breathing casualty (CPR and chain of survival)

  • Safely use an AED

  • Provide first aid to a casualty who is suffering from:

       - Choking

       - External bleeding

       - Burns

       - Shock

       - Seizures

       - Minor injuries

First Aid at Work - FAA Level 3 Award - Â£160.00 per person, minimum of four people

This 18 hour (3 day) Ofqual regulated course covers the necessary first aid requirements for larger businesses or those whose risk assessment has identified more complex first aid needs. A blended option combining online learning with face to face training is available. 


On completion candidates will be able to:

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider


  • Safely manage an incident


  • Deal with an unresponsive breathing casualty (top to toe survey and recovery position)


  • Deal with a non breathing casualty (CPR and chain of survival)


  • Safely use an AED


  • Provide first aid to a caualty who is suffering from:


       - Choking

       - External bleeding

       - Burns

       - Shock

       - Seizures

       - Minor injuries

  • Provide first aid to a casualty who is suffering from suspected injuries to:


       - Bones, muscles and joints

       - Head and spine

       - Chest

  • Provide first aid to a casualty suffering from:


       - Electrical and chemical burns

       - Eye injuries

       - Poisoning

       - Anaphylaxis

       - Suspected major illnesses

Emergency Paediatric First Aid - FAA Level 3 Award - £70.00 per person

This 6 hour Ofqual regulated course covers the necessary first aid requirements for a variety of roles in childcare. On completion candidates will be able to:

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider

  • Safely manage an incident

  • Deal with an unresponsive breathing infant or child (top to toe survey and recovery position)

  • Deal with a non breathing infant or child (CPR and chain of survival)

  • Safely use an AED

  • Provide first aid to an infant or child who is suffering from:

       - Choking

       - External bleeding

       - Burns

       - Shock

       - Seizures

       - Minor injuries

Paediatric First Aid - FAA Level 3 Award - £105.00 per person

This 12 hour (2 day) Ofqual regulated course meets the requirements of Ofsted and follows the latest guidelines from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). A blended option combining 6 hours of online learning and 6 hours of face to face training is available. 


On completion candidates will be able to:

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a paediatric first aider


  • Safely manage an incident


  • Deal with an unresponsive breathing infant or child (top to toe survey and recovery position)


  • Deal with a non breathing infant or child (CPR and chain of survival)


  • Safely use an AED


  • Provide first aid to a infant or child who is suffering from:


       - Choking

       - External bleeding

       - Burns and scalds

       - Shock

       - Seizures

       - Bites and stings

  • Provide first aid to an infant or child who is suffering from suspected injuries to:


       - Bones, muscles and joints

       - Head and spinal injuries

       - Chest injuries

  • Provide first aid to an infant or child suffering from:


       - Electric shock incidents

       - Effects of heat or cold

       - Eye injuries

       - Poisoning

       - Anaphylaxis

       - Suspected major illnesses

Parent and Carer Classes - £100.00 for a private two hour class

This relaxed, informal two hour class will provide parents and carers with the peace of mind that comes with a knowledge of first aid for babies and children. The class covers dealing with:

  • An unresponsive non-breathing infant/child (CPR)

  • An unresponsive breathing infant/child

  • Choking

  • Bumps

  • Bleeding

  • Breaks

  • Burns

  • Febrile convulsions

  • Meningitis and sepsis awareness

First Aid Classes For School Children - £75 per Class

These fun, interactive first aid classes introduce children to first aid and meet the National Curriculum requirements. For younger children in Key Stage 1, we cover getting help in an emergency, what to do if something happens to our grown-up, the recovery position, bleeding and head bumps. For children in Key stage 2, we look at getting help in an emergency, the recovery position, CPR, choking, head bumps, breaks, burns and bleeding. All age groups receive a sticker and a certificate.
